The invention discloses a novel micropore active carbon filtering material suitable for an air-conditioner in a new house and a preparation method thereof. The novel micropore active carbon filtering material is prepared from 140-145 parts by weight of fruit shell active carbon, 2-4 parts by weight of copper sulphate, 1-2 parts by weight of carbon black, 3-5 parts by weight of manganese dioxide, 30-34 parts by weight of corn straw, 20-24 parts by weight of cotton straw, 1.5-2 parts by weight of sodium tripolyphosphate, 1-2 parts by weight of pine oil, 2-3 parts by weight of sodium hexametaphosphate, 2-4 parts by weight of calcium lactate, 8-10 parts by weight of anthracite, 4-6 parts by weight of an adsorption assistant and a proper amount of water. A plurality of straws are crushed and then are mixed with copper sulphate and carbon black and the mixture is subjected to a series of treatment. The novel micropore active carbon filtering material has strong absorption capacity, a large specific surface area and high adsorption iodine number, can remove poisonous and harmful gas at a fast rate, has a long service life, no energy consumption and no pollution and can be recycled. The used adsorption assistant can improve adsorption efficiency and make a smell refreshing and healthy. The novel micropore active carbon filtering material and a porous base material can be combined and be used for preparation of air cleaning devices such as an air-conditioner filter screen or an air cleaning filter screen.
