Problems solved by technology

[0003] In practical applications, the current traditional method is to use a point-based global illumination algorithm or an algorithm such as path tracing. Point-based global illumination can quickly deal with diffuse reflection scenes, but it is not very good for specular and transparent scenes. On the other hand, a series of methods of path tracing (including two-way path tracing) can handle various materials such as mirrors and transparent surfaces very well, but their algorithm efficiency is relatively low

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for rendering global illumination in a computer three-dimensional model. The method comprises the following steps of 1 reading-in a model file and storing points of the model and triangular face information in a kd-tree partitioned data structure; 2 generating a plurality of light source paths starting from light sources through sampling; sampling finally rendered image planes in batches, sampling a part of points each time, generating viewpoint paths starting from viewpoints at the pixel point positions, selecting a light source path in the step 2, adopting a bidirectional path tracking based path connecting method to perform connection so as to obtain color values of current pixels through calculation and repeating the step till all pixel points on a whole image are sampled; 4 repeating the step 2 and the step 3 till a whole rendering result is acceptable.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a rendering method of global illumination in a computer three-dimensional model, belonging to the fields of computer graphics and the like. Background technique [0002] In recent years, computer technology has developed rapidly, and the games used in modern entertainment life, and the graphics in movies have also developed rapidly. In movies, the global illumination rendering in the offline rendering technology can already create a real effect. Global illumination calculation is a core component in computer graphics, and its task is to generate fully realistic images from pre-organized 3D scenes. In order to achieve this goal, we must simulate various physical phenomena that occur when light propagates in the scene, such as mutual reflection, caustics, shadows, etc. This not only requires us to have a correct description of the material and geometric characteristics of each object in the entire scene, but also requires us to...
