Embodiment

[0034] This embodiment discloses a method for implementing a VXLAN QoS mechanism based on an SDN architecture, wherein the SDN architecture includes a controller, a switch, and a router. A VXLAN network usually includes virtual machines (VMs) and VTEP devices. In this example, with figure 2 The shown VXLAN network 200 based on the SDN architecture is taken as an example.

[0035] like figure 1 As shown, the implementation method of the VXLAN QoS mechanism based on the SDN architecture of this embodiment includes:

[0036] Step S11, in the VXLAN network, establish a tunnel:

[0037] like figure 2 As shown, the VXLAN tunnel 221 is initiated from the first VTEP 222 , extends from the first VTEP 222 to the second VTEP 223 , and is identified by a VNI (Virtual Network Identifier, virtual network identifier). In this embodiment, the first VTEP is server A, the second VTEP is server B, and the tunnel 221 is established between server A and server B.

Abstract

The invention provides an SDN (software defined networking) architecture based method for realizing a QoS (quality of service) mechanism of a VXLAN (virtual extensible LAN). The method comprises steps as follows: a tunnel is established in the VXLAN; the tunnel extends from a first VTEP (VXLAN tunnel end point) to a second VTEP and is recognized by a VNI (virtual network identifier); the first VTEP or the second VTEP performs VXLAN header packing or unpacking operation on frames sent or received by a virtual machine in the VXLAN; when VXLAN headers are packed, Pri fields are set according to the QoS mechanism and are expansion fields of the VXLAN headers; a switcher and a router analyze the Pri fields by using an OpenFlow flow table instruction and send the frames to corresponding sequences according to the Pri fields; an SDN architecture schedules the frames according to a scheduling rule in sequence. The consistency of the QoS mechanism of the whole network is guaranteed, the end-to-end QoS mechanism is realized, and unified flow table issuing is more convenient and accurate than manual input of the QoS mechanism.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of communication, in particular to a method for realizing the QoS mechanism of VXLAN based on SDN architecture. Background technique [0002] VXLAN (Virtual eXtensible LAN, Extensible Virtual Local Area Network) is a technology that encapsulates Layer 2 packets with Layer 3 protocols, and can extend Layer 2 networks within the scope of Layer 3 networks. It is applied inside the data center, so that the virtual machine can be migrated within the interconnected three-layer network without changing the IP address and MAC address, so as to ensure the continuity of the business. VXLAN can be referred to as a Layer 2 network overlay solution on Layer 3. A typical VXLAN network adopts a centralized query server mode, and the VXLAN network usually includes a VM (Virtual Machine, virtual machine), a VTEP (VXLAN Tunnel End Point, VXLAN Tunnel End Point) device, and a query server. [0003] SDN (Software Defi...
