Embodiment Construction
[0051] Embodiments are described in the context of a system for processing a treatment item, wherein a plurality of components having conductive surfaces are introduced into an electroplating bath. The devices, systems and methods can generally be used for coating treatment items which have cavities which have inner surfaces and in which both the outer and inner surfaces are to be provided with a coating. The coating can be a coating made of a metal or a coating made of an alloy composed of several metals. The treatment item can be provided, for example, with a coating of zinc (Zn) and nickel (Ni), preferably from an acidic electrolyte, wherein a greater proportion of Zn is contained in the coating. However, the devices, systems and methods are not limited to having coatings of these materials. The same reference numerals denote the same elements in the figures.
