Abstract

The invention discloses a refining process for aluminum-containing sulfur-controlled steel used for an automobile. The aluminum-containing sulfur-controlled steel comprises 0.39 to 0.44% of C, 0.65 to 0.85% of Mn, 0.025% of P, 0.015 to 0.030% of S, 0.15 to 0.35% of Si, 0.16 to 0.25% of Mo, 1.05 to 1.20% of Cr, 0.30% of Ni, 0.20% of Cu, 0.020 to 0.050% of Alt, 2.0% of Oppm and 2.0% of Hppm, with the balance being Fe. The process comprises the following successive steps: preparation of steel scrap and hot-charging of molten iron; EBT electric-arc furnace smelting; LF refining; VD vacuum degassing; and continuous casting for formation of a blank. Through the LF refining and VD vacuum degassing, the contents of the elemental S and Alt are controlled in a desired range. The refining process provided by the invention can ensure the purity of molten steel and guarantee that the shapes of inclusions meet requirements and pouring during continuous casting is smooth.
