The method for manufacturing the indoor map comprises the following steps: pre-processing a structure chart of an indoor building, for extracting layer information needed by the map, so as to generate a picture file; converting the picture file to generate a map data file for map editing; binding corresponding map metadata for map layers of the map data file, and saving the map data file bound with the map data file into a spatial database; extracting map data from the spatial database, and reducing to form map layers; and overlapping pattern layers on the map layers, so as to form a vectorized indoor map which is stored in internal storage of the server. With the adoption of the method and the device, the indoor map can be flexibly expanded, so that accurate positioning is realized.
