Problems solved by technology

However, from the salient area detection results and human visual characteristics, the salient area in an image is usually the foreground object in the image, and it is usually one or more continuous areas. These algorithms ignore the salient The fact that regions are themselves regions, making salient region detection less efficient

specific Embodiment

[0058] The method that the present invention proposes comprises the following steps:

[0059] 1. Gaussian filter

[0060] The image will be disturbed by various noises during the process of imaging, digitization and transmission, which will degrade the quality of the final image, manifested as feature flooding, image blur, image distortion, etc., so that the image disturbed by noise will affect the later stage negatively impact image analysis. Filtering is a mathematical model through which image data can be converted into energy, and the result of filtering is to exclude low-energy signals. Noise is a low-energy signal, so the noise signal can be effectively filtered out by filtering. Digital image filtering examines each pixel of the original image, and the filtering result of the pixel is obtained by multiplying its adjacent pixels (including itself) with a filtering template. The invention uses a Gaussian filter to preprocess the original image, and the Gaussian filter ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for detecting saliency regions, and in the method, basic elements involved in difference comparison calculation are defined as regions so that the basic elements are in the same order of magnitude as final detection results are, thereby improving the detecting efficiency of salient regions. The method comprises the steps of (1) starting; (2) using a gaussian filter for pre-processing an original image; (3) converting the pre-processed image in the step (2) from an RGB color space to an LAB color space; (4) performing graph-based image segmentation; (5) calculating feature vectors and center-of-mass coordinates of segmented regions; and (6) calculating saliency values of the segmented regions based on the LAB color space.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of multimedia technology and computer graphics, and in particular relates to a detection method of a salient area. Background technique [0002] Salient region detection refers to the rapid and accurate identification of salient regions in the visual field by machines simulating humans. The detection method of salient region is a very important technology in the field of computer vision, and has great application value in the fields of image segmentation, object recognition, image retrieval, content maintenance and image editing. In the past few decades, researchers have proposed many salient region detection methods, mainly including salient region detection based on global contrast and salient region detection based on region contrast. The current classic salient region detection methods include MZ, FT, SR, AC, GB, IT and other methods. Among the six typical salient detection algorithms, FT has the highes...
