Abstract

The invention brings forward a cloud storage system based on synchronization agents and mixed storage. The system comprises (1) a user interface module having an application program, a Web console and a synchronization agent; (2) a virtual file module responsible for managing storage of object metadata; and (3), a rear end management module responsible for controlling storage equipment and other system functions. The user interface module, the virtual file module and the rear end management module employ a single REST interface to carry out communication. According to the invention, high consistency of data between a client and a server can be effectively solved; the high availability of cloud storage service can be raised; and problems of security of user data uploaded to and stored in public cloud can be solved.
