Abstract

The invention provides an evaluation method for processing characteristics of a diamond pellet. The method comprises the following steps: 1) setting a characteristic index system of the diamond pellet, wherein the characteristic index system comprises integral rigidity and microscopic hardness, the integral rigidity characterizes shape preserving ability of the pellet during processing of a workpiece and the microscopic hardness characterizes influence of the pellet on surface quality of the workpiece during processing, presetting rigidity thresholds used for dividing grades of the integral rigidity and presetting hardness thresholds used for dividing grades of the microscopic hardness; 2) carrying out constant-speed loading on a to-be-evaluated diamond pellet by using a pressure testing machine, measuring a pressure-deformation curve, calculating the integral rigidity, and comparing the calculated integral rigidity with the rigidity thresholds used for dividing grades so as to obtain the grade of the integral rigidity; and 3) detecting the microscopic hardness of the to-be-evaluated diamond pellet and comparing the detected microscopic hardness with the hardness thresholds used for dividing grades so as to obtain the grade of the microscopic hardness. The method provided by the invention prevents statistics through a great number of experiments and has good rapidity.
