Abstract

The invention provides an overvoltage protection circuit and device. The overvoltage protection circuit is electrically connected between the input circuit and the switching power supply circuit. The overvoltage protection circuit includes a first voltage input terminal, a second voltage input terminal, a voltage output terminal, an input voltage detection circuit, a reference voltage supply circuit and a switch tube. The first voltage input end is electrically connected with the reference voltage supply circuit for receiving the reference voltage. The second voltage input end is electrically connected with the input voltage detection circuit for receiving the voltage to be compared. The voltage output terminal is connected to the input undervoltage shutdown pin of the power supply control chip of the switching power supply circuit through the switch tube. When the input voltage to be compared is overvoltage, the voltage output terminal of the overvoltage protection circuit outputs a voltage control signal to stop the switching power supply circuit from working. The invention also provides an overvoltage protection device. The technical problem that no overvoltage protection in the existing switching power supply circuit may damage the switching power supply circuit is effectively solved.
