The drainage system for the air conditioner comprises a water pan, a pressure sensor arranged at the bottom of the water pan, a control mainboard connected with the pressure sensor and a water pump for draining condensate water of the air conditioner. The pressure sensor is used for detecting pressure of water in the water pan, and a pressure value obtained through detection is transmitted to the control mainboard as a pressure feedback signal. The control mainboard outputs a control signal for increasing or decreasing the voltage of the water pump to the water pump according to the pressure value in the pressure feedback signal, so that the rotating speed of the water pump is increased or decreased.
