Embodiment Construction

[0035] figure 1 It shows a flow chart of the method for reducing the distortion rate of image transmission based on polar code properties provided by the present invention, which is described in detail as follows:

[0036] First, the polar code and the principle of the polar code are introduced. The core theory of the polar code is channel polarization. Ideally, after channel polarization, some bit channels are divided into noise-free channels, and another part of bit channels are divided into pure noise channels. In the process of communication, we only choose to transmit information on those noise-free bit channels.

[0037] First, some notation methods are introduced. Channel W: X->Y means that the input is X={0, 1}, the output is Y, and the transmission probability is W(y|x), where x∈X, y∈Y is any B-DMC channel. Additionally, let F = 1 0 ...

Abstract

The invention is applicable to the image transmission technology field and provides the method for reducing the image transmission distortion rate on the basis of polarization code attribute. The method comprises steps that A, each pixel of an image is converted into byte bits for arrangement; B, the well-arranged image byte bits are mapped into a polarization code; C, the image byte bits are coded by utilizing the polarization code; D, a bit flow after coding is modulated by utilizing BPSK; E, an image symbol after modulation is transmitted through a wireless simulation channel to a reception end; F, demodulation and continuous-elimination-method decoding for the image symbol are carried out at the reception end by employing the BPSK; G, the image information after demodulation decoding is de-mapped, the image byte bits and the polarization code are separated; and H, the separated image byte bit flow is reconstructed and reduced to form an image. According to the method, unequal protection of the polarization code is utilized, image transmission quality is improved, about 7dB PSNR gain is acquired, and thereby the image transmission distortion rate is reduced.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of image transmission, and in particular relates to a method for reducing the distortion rate of image transmission based on polar code properties. Background technique [0002] In 2009, the polar code coding scheme proposed by Arikan, under binary discrete memoryless channels (B-DMCs), its symmetric capacity can not only reach the Shannon limit, but also has low coding and decoding complexity [1]. The polar code is constructed based on the phenomenon of channel polarization. The encoding process is to distinguish which bits in the codeword are error-free and which are completely wrong. After the polarized channel, the capacity of some channels is close to 1, while the capacity of another part of the channel is close to 0, so that the information bits are sent on the intact channel with the channel capacity close to 1, while the channel capacity is close to 0 The sleep bit is sent on the noisy channel.
