Embodiment Construction

[0026] figure 1 A bead 1 of a pneumatic vehicle tire with the core profile 2 according to the invention is schematically shown. What is concerned in this figure is a radial sectional view of the pneumatic vehicle tire, in which the core profile 2 and the core 3 are shown as cross-sectional profiles. In this cross-sectional view, the bead core 3 is composed of individual steel cords 4 and 5 . When preassembling the bead core 3 , a single steel cord is generally wound in turns, wherein the steel cord is provided with a rubberized layer. A particular feature of the bead core 3 is that the rubberized layer of the steel cords of the bead core 3 does not have a curing agent or another crosslinking system. The additional resin network is likewise omitted in the rubberized layer of the steel cords, as is otherwise the case in conventional vehicle tires. By omitting the crosslinking system in the rubberized layer of the steel cords, the inner steel cords 5 in the inner region of the...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a pneumatic vehicle tyre, wherein the flexural stiffness of the tyre bead is reduced, comprising the following steps: a) prefabricating a bead core (3) having a steel cord (4, 5), wherein the steel cord (4, 5) has an outer rubber coating without a vulcanising agent or a cross-linking system for the rubber coating, b) applying a core profile (2) to the bead core (3), c) applying a tyre bead component (7, 8) having an elevated concentration of a cross-linking system to the bead core (3), wherein the tyre bead component (7, 8) forms a depot for a cross-linking system, d) intermediately storing the prefabricated bead-core composite, wherein part of the cross-linking system of the tyre bead component (7, 8) diffuses into the rubber coating of the outer steel cords (4) of the bead core (3), e) applying the prefabricated bead-core composite to a tyre-building drum in order to produce a tyre blank, f) vulcanising the tyre blank, wherein the rubber coating has substantially no material cross-linking in the inner region of the bead core (3).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for producing a pneumatic vehicle tire with reduced bead core and bead bending stiffness. Background technique [0002] In pneumatic vehicle tires, the task of the bead core is to ensure a stable position of the tire on the rim. For this purpose, the bead core must have high circumferential stiffness and high torsional stiffness. However, the bead core does not have to be resistant to bending in order to enable sufficient mountability and detachability of the tire connected to the rim of the tire. When the vehicle tire is mounted, the bead core, which is perfectly circular in circumference, is deformed into an ellipse in order to bring the bead over the rim flange. In conventional vehicle tires bead cores made of toroidally wound and rubberized steel wires are used, which have a high circumferential and torsional stiffness. However, there is a problem that the bending rigidity of the bead core is also high, ...
