The method involves first assuming that all vessels are healthy, and using CFD simulation with resistance boundary condition estimation to determine the FFR index. Next, the resistance boundary condition is iteratively corrected according to the severity of stenosis estimated by the FFR index from the previous iteration. Subsequent FFR metrics are then determined based on the corrected boundary conditions. The iterative process of correcting the resistance boundary conditions and computing another FFR metric continues until the stopping criterion is satisfied. Then output the final FFR index.
