other Embodiment approach

[0208] The implementation of ink retainer 1800 in other embodiments depends on the specific requirements of the application. In another embodiment, the ink retainer 1800 comprises open cell foam. The open-cell foam is at least partially filled with ink before the open-cell foam contacts the orifice surface, or after the open-cell foam contacts the orifice surface. Preferably, the open cell foam is at least partially filled with ink removed from the printhead.

[0209] Inks used in typical inkjet printing applications contain particles, as described above. In a non-specific example, inks using metal particles containing heavy metals are used to deposit electrons, or thermally conductive lines on glass, circuit boards (PCBs), semiconductor devices and other substrates. In a non-specific example, the ink is applied to the metallization of a solar photovoltaic wafer, as described above. The ink usually includes as a liquid carrier (carrier liquid), silver nanoparticles (50% by ...

Abstract

A printing system includes cleaning an orifice plate by inserting a tip of a shaped wiper into a slit of a printing mask, such that one or more shoulders of a handling end of the shaped wiper are in contact with respectively one or more edges of the slit. The shoulders of the shaped wiper facilitate the tip applying a predetermined pressure to an orifice surface during wiping. Preventing sediment buildup during extended periods of non-printing includes placing at least the orifice plate of the printing head in a protecting liquid that avoids evaporation of the volatile liquid from the nozzles. An innovative night plate can be used to seal the slit of a printing mask and ink purged from the printing head used to fill a gap between the printing head and the mask, thereby covering at least the orifice plate with the purged ink.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application with application number 201180050300.5, application date October 18, 2011, and invention name "printing system". [0002] inventor [0003] Elie Clarkman; Hanan Gossayt; Timofey Thimur; Sharon Fima. [0004] Cross reference to related applications [0005] This application claims the benefit of a Provisional Patent Application, filed October 18, 2010 by the inventors, Serial No. 61 / 393950, which is incorporated by reference. technical field [0006] The present invention relates to a printing field, in particular to a printing system, which maintains an inkjet head by cleaning an orifice plate and preventing deposits from accumulating. Background technique [0007] Generally, the inkjet print head in the printing field, usually referred to as the head, its printing nozzles need to be cleaned regularly to remove fouling (solid deposits) on the nozzles, remove air bubbles, and maintain printing quality. The process of c...
