Abstract

The invention discloses a liquid crystal display apparatus and a driving method thereof. The liquid crystal display apparatus comprises multiple pixel units arranged to form multiple pixel rows and multiple pixel columns. For the multiple pixel units disposed in the same pixel row, in a continuous frame period, the polarity of a pixel electrode of each pixel unit is reversed, and in the same frame period, the polarities of the pixel electrodes of adjacent pixel units are opposite. The liquid crystal display apparatus comprises a charge sharing module, the charge sharing module is connected with multiple source data lines, before gray-scale voltages are set, the multiple source data lines are short-circuited, and the pixel electrodes of the multiple pixel units of the corresponding pixel rows are pre-charged. The liquid crystal display apparatus pre-charges the pixel electrodes by use of the charge sharing module and can integrate the charge sharing module in a surrounding area of a glass substrate so as to decease the circuit cost, reduce power consumption, reduce the panel dimension and improve the resolution.
