According to the method, first, a signal bandwidth is roughly estimated, and band-pass filter is performed; then a signal cyclic spectrum density is calculated by using a spectrum related method, a spectrum peak of a specific section of the cyclic spectrum is searched according to the cyclic spectrum density so as to acquire a related spectrum peak, and a feature parameter is calculated according to the related spectrum peak; and finally, a modulation manner signal is identified according to the feature parameter. A communication signal modulation manner is identified accurately in a case in which no prior information is available. The present invention further discloses a modulation identification and parameter estimation method based on the modulation identification. Carrier frequency estimation and symbol rate estimation are performed on different modulation manner signals by using an original cyclic spectrum, a quadratic spectrum and a square spectrum of the signal according to a modulation identification result.
