The system of the invention comprises a UWB vehicle positioning system, a mobile terminal and a remote networking system which is in communication connection with the UWB vehicle positioning system and the mobile terminal; the positioning system comprises a UWB electronic label arranged on the vehicle, a plurality of UWB base stations arranged in the parking lot at intervals, a processing device for determining vehicle position information according to a parameter value obtained by the WUB base station, and a monitoring service system for storing position information of the vehicle and/or an idle parking space. The method of the invention comprises: each base station receives a wireless positioning signal transmitted by the UWB electronic label and a corresponding parameter value of the wireless positioning signal is obtained; the parameter value is utilized to determine position information of the vehicle and/ or the idle parking space and the position information of the vehicle and/ or the idle parking space are stored in the monitoring service system; when a remote networking system receives an order for seeking a vehicle or inquiring an idle parking space from a mobile terminal, the position information of the corresponding vehicle or the idle parking space is called to be transmitted to the mobile terminal.
