The method includes selecting from n OCT images obtained by scanning human eyes with an ophthalmology OCT device one image with the highest signal-to-noise ratio as a reference image, and registering the remaining n-1 OCT images as to-be-matched images with the reference image, thereby obtaining m registered OCT images; and synthesizing the m registered OCT images into a synthesized high-definition OCT image. The invention also discloses a device for large-range high-definition quick registration of an ophthalmology OCT image. The device includes an OCT image registering module and a high-definition OCT image synthesizing module. Through the method and device, when any to-be-matched image is registered with the reference image, a frequency domain registration method is used in a vertical direction; and in multiple times of registration in a horizontal direction, dichotomy is utilized to perform iteration, the number of times of circulation is reduced, and the algorithm speed and precision are improved.
