Problems solved by technology

However, the disclosed compositions do not contain N-acyl-amino based surfactants which lead to less foaming performance which does not meet the needs of consumers, especially for Asian consumers
[0004] None of the disclosed compositions achieves a fully satisfactory quality and density foam performance while imparting skin mildness

Embodiment 1

[0347] Example 1: Foaming composition for skin washing

[0348] a) Compositions 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F and 1G according to the invention

[0349]

[0350]

[0351]

[0352] Compositions A, B, C, D, E, F and G provided satisfactory lather quality while achieving skin softening when applied to the skin.

[0353] b) Comparison of composition 1.1 with composition 1A according to the invention

[0354] Comparative composition 1 contained 16.4% by weight of surfactant active material, whereas composition A according to the invention contained 8.2% by weight of surfactant active material.

[0355]

[0356] The foam quality and density of composition A according to the invention with low surfactant concentration is comparable to that of comparative composition 1 with a higher amount of surfactant.

[0357] This result is quite surprising since compositions comprising a higher proportion of surfactant are generally expected to produce greater lather volume and density...

Embodiment 2

[0359] Embodiment 2: Anti-greasy foaming composition

[0360] a) Compositions 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E and 2F according to the invention

[0361]

[0362]

[0363] Compositions 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E and 2F provided satisfactory lather quality while achieving skin softening and anti-shine benefits when applied to the skin.

[0364] b) Comparing composition 2.1 with composition 2A according to the invention

[0365] Comparative composition 2.1 contained no non-associative crosslinked polymer, whereas composition 2A according to the invention contained 2.7% of acrylates / vinyl neodecanoate crosslinked polymer (supplied by Dow Chemical under the name Aculyn Sales).

[0366]

[0367] Comparative composition 2.1 does not provide any oil absorption effect, but only good foam quality.

[0368] Thus, the presence of both the non-associative copolymer according to the invention and the talc in the composition according to the invention makes it possible to achieve an anti-shine e...

Embodiment 3

[0369] Example 3 : Moisturizing foaming composition

[0370] a) Compositions 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, 3E, 3F and 3G according to the invention

[0371]

[0372]

[0373] Compositions 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, 3E, 3F, 3G, 3H and 3I provided satisfactory foam quality while achieving skin mildness and moisturizing and softening benefits when applied to the skin.

[0374] b) Comparison of composition 3.1 with composition 3B or 3C according to the invention

[0375] Comparative composition 3.1 contained no shea butter, whereas compositions B and C contained 10% and 20% by weight of shea butter, respectively, relative to the total weight of the composition. ...

[0376]

[0377] The comparative composition 3.1 does not provide any moisturizing / softening effect when applied on the skin, while the compositions 3B or 3C according to the invention have only good foam quality.

[0378] The shea butter present in the composition according to the invention thus makes it possible to achieve a ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a foaming cleanser cosmetic composition containing, in a physiologically acceptable medium: - a surfactant system comprising (i) at least one N-(C6-C30)acyl-amino based surfactant, and (ii) at least one amphoteric surfactant chosen from betaines or (C8- C20)alkyl betaines, (C8-C20)alkylamido(Cl-C6)aIkylbetaines, and mixtures thereof; and - at least one non associative crosslinked copolymer or acrylic acid and / or methacrylic acid, and optionally of (Cl-C4)alkyl esters thereof, wherein said N-(C6-C30)acyl-amino based surfactant being present in the surfactant system in a major weight amount, and the surfactant system being present in the composition in an amount of less than 15% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition. The invention also relates to a process for cleansing keratin materials, which consists in applying the said composition to the said keratin materials, in working it into a foam and then in rinsing off the said composition, as well as the cosmetic use of the composition as defined above, for removing makeup and / or cleansing the skin, the hair and / or mucous membranes, or for skincare.
