Abstract

Provided are a light-field distance estimation method and a light-field imaging system. The light-field imaging system includes a calibration object and a camera, wherein the camera includes a main lens, a micro-lens array and an imaging unit, and the distance between the micro-lens array and the imaging unit is fixed as the focal length of the micro-lens array; according to the method, the camera is adopted to conduct shooting to obtain a light-field image, the imaging diameter of an object in the light-field image is extracted, the imaging diameter is substituted into an established distance estimation model, and the distance between the main lens and a plane where the object is located is solved. According to the light-field distance estimation method and the light-field imaging system, when the camera focuses on the calibration object, only the micro-lens array and the imaging unit need to be moved to make the imaging diameter of a calibration point on the calibration object minimum, and a complex refocus process is not needed. The imaging system is simple in structure, the presented distance estimation model is low in calculation complexity, and the distance estimation accuracy is relatively high.
