The method comprises that a local PIT (Pend Interest Table) and a local CS (Content Store) table are inquired, and under the condition that a corresponding content item exists in neither the PIT nor the CS table, whether the content item corresponding to a target interest packet exists in a local FIB (Forwarding Information Base) table is inquired; if YES, the target interest packet is forwarded via a corresponding forwarding port; if NO, a forwarding route obtaining request is sent to a controller, so that the controller cooperates with a content router in a first local area network to determine a target forwarding route from the content router to a destination, and different content routers in the target forwarding route update FIB tables of themselves according to the target forwarding route; and the target interest packet is forwarded via one updated forwarding port.
