Abstract

The invention relates to the field of server technology and provides a monitoring and measurement system for power consumption of a PCIE external plug-in card. The system comprises a measurement jig and an oscilloscope, wherein the measurement jig is connected between a server mainboard and the PCIE external plug-in card in series, and the oscilloscope is connected with the measurement jig; the oscilloscope measures voltage parameters and current parameters of the PCIE external plug-in card at the same time through the measurement jig, and a maximum value and a minimum value of instantaneous power in the measuring process are calculated according to the measured voltage parameters and current parameters; and the oscilloscope performs statistical analysis on changes of the instantaneous power of a server in various states, a matrix list used for whole-process data comparative analysis is generated, therefore, measurement of the instantaneous power value of the PCIE external plug-in card is realized according to the characteristic that operation of the PCIE external plug-in card relies on 12V power supply and 3.3V power supply, and power consumption data of the PCIE external plug-in card when the server is in different operating states is monitored to realize comparative analysis of power consumption differences of the PCIE external plug-in card.
