Compared with the existing surface-wave antenna without loading the structure, the truncation metasurface annular structure converts electromagnetic energy below the circular patch into surface wave outside the circular patch, so that surface wave diffraction is increased, thereby improving the bandwidth and antenna gain; certain air dielectric exists between the dielectric substrates; and therefore, compared with the existing surface-wave antenna without loading the air dielectric structure, the circular patch can excite surface wave by air coupling, and the surface wave can be propagated along the metasurface.
