Abstract

Disclosed herein is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) having an internal combustion engine and a fuel and lubrication system comprising a fuel supply system (21) for supplying fuel to the engine (19) and for delivering lubricating oil to the lubrication system (23) of the engine (19). The fuel supply system (21) includes a fuel container (25) from which fuel can be delivered to the engine (19). The fuel container (25) includes a main tank (41) and a header tank (43). The lubricating system (23) includes a lubricating oil tank (31). The lubricating oil tank (31) is accommodated inside the main tank (41) to provide an integrated assembly (33). The arrangement is used to warm up the lubricating oil of the UAV engine using several available heat sources. In addition, the arrangement contributes to minimizing or eliminating any undesired moments of inertia of the UAV during fuel and lubricant consuming flight.
