The method comprises the following steps: instructing a conference service platform to authenticate a WebRTC conference terminal in response to a conference creating request of the WebRTC conference terminal; receiving conference parameters selected or input by the WebTC conference terminal after the WebRTC conference terminal passes authentication; creating a conference according to the conference parameters; instructing the WebRTC conference terminal launching the conference creating request to join a conference holding interface; and establishing a link with the WebRTC conference terminal through a WebRTC communication server, and joining a conference by taking the WebRTC conference terminal launching the conference creating request as a conference host. A browser supporting a WebRTC technology is taken as a conference terminal, and interface logic is maintainedthrough a cloud platform, so that the client maintenance cost and version management cost are lowered, and the user experience is unified.
