Abstract

The banknote authenticity identification equipment comprises the components of two sets of number extraction devices which are arranged for aiming at a preset number area on at least one side of a banknote conveying channel, wherein the number extraction devices are used for acquiring the number image of the preset number area when the banknote passes a preset acquisition position of the banknote conveying channel; a number identification device which is used for identifyingthe number in the number image; and an authenticity determining device which is used for acquiring the identified number, determines whether the numbers which are extracted by the number extraction devices are same and whether the identified numbers are the number of true banknote, and determines authenticity of the banknote according to a determining result. Through arranging the number extracting devices at the position of the area which corresponds with the banknote number, total scanning is prevented, data processing amount is reduced, and furthermore identification precision and identification accuracy are improved.
