The control for crystal form is realized by adopting sodium nitrate, the control for the thickness of a synthetic hydrotalcite nanosheet is realized through formamide, the monolayer hydrotalcite with the thickness of about 1 nm is obtained, the specific surface area of the gadolinium-doped monolayer hydrotalcite is improved, and then the surface loading capacity of the gadolinium-doped monolayer hydrotalcite as a drug carrier is improved, so that the pesticide effect is improved. The invention also provides the application of the gadolinium-doped monolayer hydrotalcite in the preparation of anti-cancer drugs. By adopting the gadolinium-doped monolayer hydrotalcite provided by the invention as the drug carrier, the loading capacity of the drug reaches up to 790% to 799% at most, and the pesticide effect can be improved obviously.
