The method comprises thesteps of building a BIM-GIS platform integrating a BIM system and the GIS through information sharing between the BIM system and the GIS; obtaining underground public facility information from the BIM-GIS platform; building a state prediction model of the underground public facilities according to a preset machine learning algorithm; predicting the physical state of the underground public facilities according to the state prediction model for the public facilities and the underground public facility information, and performing active maintenance on the underground public facilities according to a prediction result. The method provided by the invention for managing the underground public facilities adopts an active maintenance strategy, and performs active maintenance on the underground public facilities according to the priority on the basis of the prediction result, thereby being capable of effectively maintaining the work reliability of the underground public facilities, and greatlyreducing adverse effects imposed on the life and work of people by sudden failure of the underground public facilities.
