The noise reduction system comprises a monitoring unit used for monitoring running state data of a wind generating set, multiple stages of noise reduction units installed in a zone between the wind generating set and a residential area from close to far and a controller used for judging whether all stages of noise reduction units meet the corresponding starting conditions or not according to the running state data of the wind generating set; each stage of noise reduction unit is used for generating reverse sound waves opposite to original noise at the position in phase, and each stage of noise reduction unit corresponds to one starting condition and one stopping condition; and if any noise reduction unit meets the corresponding starting condition, the noise reduction unit is controlled to be started until the noise reduction unit meets the corresponding stopping condition, and the noise reduction unit is controlled to stop running.
