The crack detection method comprises the following steps of acquiring multiple images in a prospective region on a component to be detected,wherein multiple speckle points are arranged in the prospective region; tracing position changes of multiple speckle points based on the multiple acquired images to acquire a stress field of the prospective region; and according to a comparison result of a stress maximal value in the stress field and a set stress threshold value, determining whether the component to be detected has a crack or not. By adopting the crack detection method and system of the embodiment of the invention, online detection can be performed on the crack, and the economic loss caused by the crack checking after shutdown is avoided.
