Abstract

The invention provides a performance testing system and method for an electric power steering controller of an automobile. The testing system comprises a test board, an EPS controller to be tested, aload torque device, a communication module, an industrial personal computer, a steering wheel, a torque sensor and a load control circuit, wherein an upper computer is arranged on the test board; theload torque device comprises a motor and a magnetic powder brake; the EPS controller to be tested is connected to the motor; the output end of the motor is connected to the magnetic powder brake; theupper computer controls a working state of the magnetic powder brake according to set road condition information and the load control circuit; the torque sensor is arranged on a steering shaft of thesteering wheel; and the communication module is respectively connected to the upper computer, the EPS controller to be tested, the torque sensor and the industrial personal computer. According to thetechnical scheme, the responses of the EPS controller under various road conditions of the vehicle can be simulated in a laboratory environment without carrying out loading live road measurement on the EPS controller, so that the development period of the EPS controller is accelerated.
