Abstract

Provided are: a pressure pulse wave sensor which is capable of ensuring sufficient durability for being attached for long periods of time, and which is capable of curbing production costs; and a biological information measurement device provided with said pressure pulse wave sensor. This pressure pulse wave sensor (10) is provided with: a sensor chip (22) provided with pressure detection elements(24); a substrate (50) to which the sensor chip (22) is fixed; and a protective cover (40) for protecting the substrate (50) and the sensor chip (22). The outer circumferential surface of the protective cover (40) is provided with a top surface (41) which is disposed above the pressure detection elements (24) in a direction (Z) orthogonal to a detection surface (26) of the sensor chip (22), and which is parallel to the detection surface (26). The protective cover (40) has, formed therein, an opening (42) which passes therethrough from a detection-surface (26) facing position in the top surface(41), towards the detection-surface (26) side. The space between the opening (42) and the detection surface (26) is filled with a filler (55).
