Abstract

The invention discloses a T-shaped blade tip capable of inhibiting blade tip clearance leakage vortexes in a pump and the pump comprising the same. The blade tip comprises a blade. The thickness of the blade equidistantly increases in the direction of a blade chord at the area close to the top of the blade to form the T-shaped blade tip so that clearance leakage flow from the blade pressure side to the blade suction side can be reduced. The T-shaped blade tip is an effective way to inhibiting the pump clearance leakage vortexes and improving the hydraulic efficiency and the operating stabilityof the pump. The T-shaped blade tip inhibits flow separation on the blade pressure side and prevents fluid from getting into the blade tip clearance from the blade pressure side so as to reduce the clearance leakage flow from the blade pressure side to the blade suction side. The circumferential flow channel length of the clearance is extended so as to relieve the pressure gradient in the blade tip clearance and the entrainment effect of the leakage vortexes on the clearance leakage flow. Accordingly, pressure pulsation in the blade tip clearance and leakage vortexes in an impeller channel are inhibited, and the operating efficiency and stability of the pump are improved. Moreover, the T-shaped blade tip is simple in structure, easy to machine and manufacture and suitable for any types ofpumps.
