The method comprises the steps that the working states of the diesel engine are judged according to the water temperature of the diesel engine, and wherein the working states of the diesel engine comprises a normal temperature state and a low temperature state; carbon black parameters of the diesel engine is collected, and a diesel engine carbon black calculation model is built through calibrating the carbon black parameters;if the working state of the diesel engine is the normal temperature state, the mass flow of the carbon black of the diesel engine at the normal temperature state are calculated through the diesel engine carbon black calculation model; and if the working state of the diesel engine is the low temperature state, and the mass flow of the carbon black of the diesel engine at the low temperature stateare calculated through the diesel engine carbon black calculation model. The invention further discloses a device for calculating the carbon black value of the diesel engine. The method for calculating the carbon black value of the diesel engine has the advantage that carbon black emission value of the diesel engine can be accurately estimated.
