The halogen-free flame-retardant epoxy resin is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 100 to 150 parts of epoxyresin, 15 to 30 parts of a curing agent, 5 to 8 parts of a dispersant, 20 to 30 parts of hydroxylated multi-walled carbon nano-tubes and 5 to 10 parts of a halogen-free flame retardant. The halogen-free flame-retardant epoxy resin does not contain a halogen flame retardant; the flame retarding effect is good and uniform; the oxygen index can reach 30 percent or above.
