The fused white corundum is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 1-10 parts of 1-3 mm particle, 40-60 parts of 0-1 mm particle and 25-45 parts of 200-mesh fine powder. The granularity of the iron oxide red is 325 meshes. The granularity of the CA-71cement is 325 meshes. The finished cement gum product comprises the chemical components of 0.5%-1% of MgO, 1.6%-2.1% of Fe2O3, 0.5%-1.5% of SiO2, 3.5%-5.6% of CaO and more than or equal to 90% of Al2O3. The coil protecting cement gum and the preparation and construction methods have the beneficial effects that in the use process of the intermediate-frequency furnace, the fused white corundum (Al2O3) and the iron oxide red (Fe2O3) form iron-aluminium spinel which has the characteristics of penetration resistance, slag resistance and good heat conductivity, so that the insulativity, refractoriness and heat conductivity are improved, and the service life of the cement gum is prolonged; due to good high-temperature heat conductivity, the electricity consumption of the intermediate-frequency furnace can be reduced.
