The multi-frequency pulse sequence ultrafast laser continuous spectral detection device comprises an ultrashort pulse laser, a multi-frequency pulse sequence generator, a pulse frequency divider, and a CCD (charge coupled device) camera. The method herein is characterized in that a laser pulse is generated through the ultrashort pulse laser, multiple pulse sequences composed of different frequency pulses are generated through the multi-frequency pulse sequence generator, the different frequency pulses have certain time delay, the laser pulses of the frequencies are divided in space through the pulse frequency divider after the different frequency pulses pass through a sample, spectral detection is performed with the CCD camera, and therefore, ultrafast continuous electronic dynamic spectral information of the sample is attained. The device and method herein have the advantages that time resolution may reach femtosecond level; spectral continuous detection is achieved for different frequency bands, and complete continuous spectral measurement is carried out for a process having no repeated experimental conditions; filming periodand filming quantity are controllably adjustable.
