The terminating-free network hunting device comprises four pairs of unshielded twisted pairs,an RJ-45 joint and a C-shaped induction line pipe. One end of each of the four pairs of unshielded twisted pairs is connected with the RJ-45 joint. The RJ-45 joint is connected with the network linefinder. A wire pair is extracted from the other ends of the four pairs of unshielded twisted pairs; the cross section of the C-shaped pipe wall is tightly wound. A C-shaped coil is wound along the axial direction of the pipe. During line searching, a searched cable is embedded into the C-shaped induction line pipe, the signal generator is started, audio signals are inductively injected into the metal conductor embedded into the cable in the C-shaped induction line pipe and are propagated along the cable, and the audio signals are searched at the other end of the cable by using the signal receiver of the line searching instrument, so that the searched cable can be positioned.
