Abstract

The invention provides application of insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 (IGFBP3) to preparation of a reagent for treating breast cancer. The insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 caninhibit macrophage from being polarized to M2 type after being induced by a peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma agonist and can inhibit the M2 type macrophage from releasing anti-inflammatory factor to act on tumor cells of the breast cancer so as to inhibit the tumor cells from generating drug resistance on the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma agonist. Through combination of the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma agonist and the insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3, the effects of synergistically promoting tumor cell apoptosis, enhancing thedrug sensitivity of the tumor cells and reducing the tumorigenicity of a breast cancer cell line are achieved; furthermore, through combination of the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gammaagonist and the insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3, toxicity on a subject body is avoided and safety is achieved.
