Abstract

The invention relates to a novel multi-fan array tornado wind tunnel comprising a wind tower, a multi-fan array, a rotating device and a flange, wherein a top single fan is installed at the top centerof the wind tower, and a bottom single fan is installed at the bottom of the wind tower in a circumferential direction. The top single fan and the bottom single fan are connected to the wind tower wall through the rotating device, and all the single fans can realize blowing and suction functions to make the tornado wind column twist and deform, thereby simulating the natural twisted and deformedtornado wind field. The top single fan simultaneously moves linearly through a slider and a linear guide to realize the horizontal movement of the tornado wind field. The incident angle of the airflowin the inflow region is adjusted through the rotation of the bottom single fan to obtain tornado wind fields with different eddy current ratios.
