The multi-area liquid crystal display device based on area control is usedfor multi-area backlight 3D display equipment and comprises a liquid crystal display panel, a multi-area backlight module and an area controller. The liquid crystal display panel comprises a plurality of display areas arranged in a block mode, and the multi-area backlight module comprises a plurality of illumination areas arranged in a block mode. The display areas of the liquid crystal display panel and the illumination areas of the backlight module are in one-to-one correspondence, one display area corresponds to one illumination area, and the area controller drives the corresponding illumination area to emit light according to the state of the display area.
