Abstract

The invention is entitled "A Flow Sensor with Gas Composition Correction". The invention discloses a sensor for sensing the flow velocity of fluid. The sensor comprises: an upstream resistance element having a first resistance varying with temperature; a downstream resistance element having a resistance varying with temperature. a second resistance; at least one tail resistor configured to determine a thermal conductivity of the fluid; at least one pressure sensor configured to determine a pressure differential of the fluid in the direction of flow; and A circuit configured to determine the kinematic viscosity of the fluid using the differential pressure and thermal conductivity and compensate the output of the bridge circuit. The downstream resistive element is located downstream of the upstream resistive element in the direction of fluid flow, and the upstream resistive element and the downstream resistive element are operatively connected in a bridge circuit.
