The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a water surface image; dividing the water surface image into a plurality of analysis areas according to a preset rule, and generating color value information of each pixel point of the analysis areas; comparing the color value information of each pixel point with a preset color range, and judging whether the color value information is in a preset color range or not; if the color value information is not within the preset color range, setting the pixel point corresponding to the color value information as an abnormal pixel point; calculating the abnormal number of the abnormal pixel points in each analysis area, and judging whether the abnormal number is larger than a preset threshold value or not; and when the abnormal number is larger than the preset threshold value, determining that the analysis area is a garbage floating area.
