Abstract

The invention describes a method and a device for producing molded parts of fiber-reinforced plastics, in which coated fiber strips are used. To coat the fiber strand ( 2 a ), an air flow is first generated from ionized air and guided through a Venturi nozzle ( 9 ). The powder (11) is removed from the storage container (12) by means of a screw conveyor (13) and fed to the Venturi nozzle (9), downstream of the Venturi nozzle (9) in the flow direction there is or is formed a flow of powder-air mixture . The flow is introduced into a chamber (4) through which a grounded or counter-ionized fiber strip (2a) is moved (4) and through the powder-air mixture flowing through the chamber (4) , the powder particles are deposited onto the fiber strip (2a). Thus, the fiber strand ( 2 b ) exiting the chamber ( 4 ) is coated, and the fiber strand ( 2 b ) thus coated is fed to the plasticizing unit of the injection molding machine ( 1 ) or extruder ( 1 ).
