[0130] As indicated above, the present disclosure provides a turbomachine component featuring a capture coating to resist spalling and provide additional cooling during operation of the turbomachine. The features of each capture coating may be configured to retain a greater amount of surface coating material than conventional structures positioned on a turbine airfoil while allowing heat to be conducted into the body of the turbine airfoil. Features of each capture coating may include, for example, a first component positioned on an outer surface of an airfoil member that may be positioned within a hot gas path (HGP) section of a turbine.
