Abstract

The card clothing carrier (10) is installed on the circular comb carrier (9,30). At least two adjusting devices (27) are provided between the clothing carrier (10) and the circular comb carrier (9,30), in the respective end regions (26) of the clothing carrier (10), said adjusting devices are used to adjust the distance (A,B) between the clothing carrier (10) and the circular comb carrier (9,30). Between the clothing carrier (10) and the circular comb carrier (9,30), the adjusting device comprises a plate wedge (32) which is fixed in an end area (26) ofthe clothing carrier (10). In the direction of the circular comb axis (6), from the corresponding end (33) of the clothing carrier (10), the plate wedge has a continuous cross-sectional tapering portion directed toward the clothing carrier (10) or the circular comb carrier (9,30). The continuous cross-section is provided by the slope (36) of the surface of the plate wedge (32) facing the clothingcarrier (10), the wedge angle (*) of the slope (36) being 6 angles or less.
