Abstract

The side wall of the stilling pond is of a hollow structure, a panel is arranged on the side wallof the side, close to water, of the stilling pond, and the panel is an elastic board which can transfer vibration and noise generated by a water body. The hollow side wall structure of the stilling pond is filled with granular mixtures which are graded sand, that is, the grain sizes of the sand comprise coarse sand, medium sand and fine sand. The graded sand can absorb and dissipate vibration andnoise transferred by the elastic panel. The wall surface structure of the vibration absorbing and sound attenuating stilling pond can weaken noise generated when the stilling pond eliminates flood discharge and energy dissipation.
