[0034] A flow diverter is an intravascular device that will direct blood flow away from the aneurysm. Most flow diverters treat lateral wall aneurysms; however, most aneurysms occur at bifurcations. Exemplary aneurysm treatment devices disclosed herein may include a flow diverter implantable at the bifurcation and capable of proper anchoring with minimal invasiveness to the vasculature.
[0035]Exemplary devices herein may generally have two parts: 1) a bowl / hemispherical or spherical blocking portion that nests within the aneurysm and occludes the neck of the aneurysm, thereby directing blood flow away from the aneurysm; and 2) a frame portion, which facilitates delivery of the device to the treatment site and stabilizes the obstructed portion. The two parts may be attached together at joints or nodes. The obstructing portion may be made of braided Nitinol wire or a Nitinol film or sheet. The frame portion can be made from a laser-cut and shape-fixed sheet of Nitinol or ot...
