Abstract

The invention relates to an auditory pulse coding method and system based on sparse coding. The method comprises the following steps: constructing a kernel function group capable of expressing sound basic elements; acquiring a to-be-coded sound signal; preprocessing the to-be-coded sound signal to obtain a preprocessed to-be-coded sound signal; according to the preprocessed to-be-coded sound signal, adopting a time sequence matching pursuit algorithm to acquire a plurality of sparse codes of the preprocessed to-be-coded sound signal; and mapping each sparse code into an auditory pulse code. The auditory pulse mode codes generated by the method can be suitable for a spiking neural network, and high coding efficiency and high coding fidelity can be ensured.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of sound processing, in particular to an auditory pulse coding method and system based on sparse coding. Background technique [0002] Sound structures in nature have non-static and time-dependent properties, such as transients, temporal relationships between acoustic events, and harmonic periodicity. In sound localization, human subjects can reliably detect interaural time differences of less than 10 μs, which corresponds to a binaural sound source offset of about 1 degree. In comparison, an audio CD sampled at 44.1 kHz has a sample interval of 22.7 μs. Studies have shown that some acoustic cues, such as the onset and offset of sound events, harmonic coordination modulation, and sound source localization, rely on precise temporal information. Therefore, it is very important to extract sound structural features containing precise temporal information from nature. However, there are many challenges because in natura...
